How DesignFlow Academy Sdn Bhd Started

We’re rooted in Malaysia’s growing tech community and built on real experience with digital products

2019

Started with a simple observation—local designers were hungry for practical training in UI principles and prototyping tools, but most resources were generic or foreign-focused. We decided to create something grounded in Southeast Asian digital product realities.

2021

Expanded our curriculum to include mobile app design, user flow mapping, and design systems. We’d been teaching for two years and realized our students needed hands-on experience with tools used by actual tech companies in the region.

2023

Launched specialized tracks for different skill levels and added mentorship from active product designers. We’ve trained over 300 students at this point and started seeing them land jobs at Malaysian startups and regional tech companies.

Today

We’re teaching UI design courses, mobile app design, and advanced prototyping to over 500 graduates. Our curriculum reflects the latest design trends in Southeast Asian digital products and we’re continuously updating materials to match industry demands.

Learn Your Tools

We introduce prototyping tools—primarily Figma because it’s what most companies use. But we also cover Adobe XD and Sketch so you understand the broader landscape. You’ll get hands-on with each tool through practical exercises.

Now you’ll tackle how users actually navigate products. We cover user journey mapping, interaction design, and wireframing. You’ll learn to think about the complete experience, not just individual screens.

Study Real Products
